  1. 1 Very well laid out with the direct quoted from the Diary. It gave the presentation a personal feel much like the book does during its reading. I had forgotten that Otto was the only survivor of his family and that Anne Frank wanted to publish her diary someday, I think that with this in mind is why her writing was so wonderful. She was not writing "Oh, It's another day .... blah blah", but she was writing to share and with purpose.

2 My criticism for this presentation is that they failed to introduce themselves and could have used a larger font for the presentation. The hand out was nice and easy to read, but in all truth, I didn't have time to look at it during the presentation. The clarity was great on this one, I had no questions on what they meant or the facts represented.

  2. 1. The one thing that really stood out to me would be how well you worked together. You alternated between each other very smoothly, hardly missing a beat when transitioning.

    2. The only criticism would be that you both kind of hid behind the desk the entire time. I know that you had to change your slides and what not, but I feel like you could have stepped out at least a bit more to sort of engage your audience a bit more. Otherwise I thought it was very well done, and informative.

  3. 1. I really liked how you guys didn't only have your presentation but also had a handout for everyone. You guys worked very well together and did a great job relaying the information. I actually had no idea her dad had to take out some of the stuff she wrote about her mom in her diary before it was published.
    2. The only critique I have was you guys kind of stood in place at the table and desk the whole time. I felt like you could have moved around a little more, but other than that it was very well put together, nice job.

  4. I had not known a lot about Anne Frank but now I feel pretty informed. I loved the use of quotes in you presentation, it brought Frank to life and showed what kind of person and writer she was.
A critique would be maybe to practice the presentation together a couple times so you both felt more relaxed and prepared.

  5. 1. I loved the way you guys had covered the history of her family during the Holocaust and how the diary would end up to the public today as exceptionable reading material, it really helped me and some others understand why she is revered the way is she now instead of the reason of her documenting her life in hiding during World War 2. I never knew how talented of a writer she was as a teenager, the quotes from Anne Frank you put in the presentation definitely helped your informative speech about her and demonstrated how her writing skills were beyond her age.
    2. My criticism is that you guys seemed shy to the audience and the movements were pretty stiff, you guys lacked the confidence of your work.

  6. I think it was pretty neat that you guys handed out a hand out. You guys had a very nice presentation with a lot of information I never knew about Anne Frank like that she spoke about many things beside the Holocaust and that her and her mother didn't have a very good relationship. You guys spoke very smoothly and worked really well together. The only critique I have would be that the powerpoint was too confusing. It had a lot on each side and I didn't have enough time to read through them.

  7. I like the idea you guys had to give a handout with important notes and facts. This allowed me to not worry about note-taking and to better focus on you talking and what you had to say. I also liked the stories about Anne's father and the way the diary came to be published.

One criticism I had being at the front of the classroom was that it was kind of hard to hear you at times, since you stayed by the desk. The slides were a little bit convoluted too, but I was able to follow along with the handout.

  8. 1. I thought that the information you provided was great. I liked how you compared Anne Frank to an every day person. I thought that the quotes that you used in the presentation made it more interesting. I thought that the presentation was organized very well.
    2. I would suggest that next time you got into the legacy more. Write about the impact of the dairy all over the world. Maybe describe why it became taught in schools. Overall GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!

  9. Your presentation was one of the best of the day and it was plain to see that you put a lot of time into practicing for it and preparing to speak. This is what really made your presentation stand out however the content was equally important and I thought you did an outstanding job not only discussing the diary but also her life and what she went through, essentially what made her, her. One criticism to add would be to more thoroughly discuss the diary and its contents as that was her lasting legacy.

  10. 1.) Your presentation stood out to me because it had a different aspect than all of the others. It seemed there was emotion behind the words you were saying and that made me want to pay attention more. It really helped me as the audience realize that there is true meaning behind the story of Anne Frank and her diary.
2.)If I would have to come up with one way to make the presentation better it would be to involve a little bit more of the content of the actual diary since that is what she is so famous for. You did a great job summarizing, but I would be interested to know some specifics.

  11. I could tell that you guys enjoyed researching your topic, I loved hearing you talk about it. I really the hand out that you guys gave us.
Something that I noticed is that you guys were a little quiet. Other than that you did great!

  12. Throughout the presentation your group demonstrated very good eye contact keeping the audience intrigued and the information really emotionally gripped me. The empathy I felt genuinely made me feel like this was the best presentation so far. I learned that Anne Frank did not like her mother and her father actually had to remove parts of her diary before it was published. The criticism i have to offer is that i wish you guys would have expanded on to why this is important today and why we really should even care about this.

  13. 1) Your presentation was very good, especially with the amount of information about Anne Frank, and the use of her quotes. That really helped with making a emotional connection with Anne Frank.
    2) One thing you can improve on is your own presentation skills. It was hard to hear you since you all talked quietly and you liked to stare at your papers.

  14. Very well detailed information about information about Anne Frank and it was laid out in good order, well thought out I like how you tried to make an emotional connection with her and her fathers situation. Clear why Anne Frank has impacted the world today, also good use and choice of quotes.
My advice would be to practice going through the slide a few more times before the presentation, and just speak a bit louder.

  15. I found this presentation very interesting. I liked the way you guys presented, taking turns but making sure everything still flowed. You guys also had a lot of other information that helped tie everything in together, and liked that you said it represented hope in the darkest time. That really spoke to me, and after hearing your presentation, I was really interested in reading the diary. Great presentation!

  16. Your presentation was simply amazing. I usually don't get touched emotionally but you guys did a great job of putting emotion In to it. Reading quotes from her diary was a great decision and added so much to the presentation. Great job.
There isn't much here that I would change. I really enjoyed the presentation and I thought it was nicely put together. If I would change anything it would be just less notecards and more reciting by memory

  17. You guys did a great job proving that Anne Frank is an iconic figure worldwide. The approach you guys had for the presentation was nice and smooth and I enjoyed having a physical copy of your slides. My only recommendation is maybe explain why she still remains to be largely iconic to this modern day.

  18. Your quotes that you picked to present really brought the emotion to the surface. They are heavy and show the talents of Anne Frank. Now I want to read it!
One recommendation would be more confident and speak louder.
