  1. 1 I think that both Dixon and Bianca showed their desire for peace in the world during this presentation, that was the best part of the presentation, heart. The "Newspaper" look from their presentation was very well placed. The two things that I learned was that the two bombs dropped on Japan had names and US consideration of warning the Japanese of their nuclear power before dropping the bomb. I didn't even consider either things before hand.

2 My only criticism of the presentation was that the table was used to be leaned back on during the production. The clarity was good, and it was obvious that they did their research and everything was fairly well polished.

  2. 1. I really liked the different viewpoint that Dixon and Bianca offered in their presentation, they really found the light in a tragic and horrible event. I enjoyed the fact that not everything just has negative outcomes, that there can be good in even the worst. I also really enjoyed the way that the slideshow was put together! It was really appealing to the eye and made me focus more on it.
    2. My only form of criticism about this is to be confident in all that you researched! All the information was there and everything was presented great, but at times they seemed confident in there work, and that resulted in a lack of clarity at some points. But other than that, it was great!

  3. 1. I really enjoyed your guys presentation I learned a lot and you both did a really good job of finding some light in this horrible event, your presentation I thought flowed really well and the pictures you used were very captivating.
    2. I have to agree with charlie on this one, you both used the table to lean back on and I felt you both kind of stood in one place the whole time instead of moving around but, other that that very well put together and overall really good job.

  4. 1. I really think that your presentation was very informative, and I thought your slides were great. They were informative, and the pictures were very cool, especially the comparison slide of fat boy, and little little boy.

    2. The only thing that I would critique would be the way you ended, just seemed unfinished. There wasn't a conclusion, it just sort of ended.

  5. I am very interested on the subject of the bombings in Japan and if they were justified or not. I liked how you talked about the unity it brought to the world, probably the only positive aspect of the event.
The presentation was great, though I would have made it more interesting with less photos of the technical stuff though. Some photos of the devastation would have helped the presentation be more interesting.

  6. 1. I found your presentation to be quite informative about the 2 atomic bombs that struck Japan at the end of the WW2. I really appreciated how you covered the aftermath of the bombing and what happened to the survivors and to the medical teams that attended to those that were dying.
    2. One of the biggest negative parts of the presentation was the limited movements of both presenters. The limited movements made it as if you were talking to the wall instead of a group of people.

  7. The presentation was very informative I learned many things in the presentation like the bombs had names and that the bomb dropped on Nagasaki was bigger than the one dropped on Hiroshima. I thought the information was well presented and you could they tell had a very good understanding of what they were talking about. However, I wish they would of talked more about what was going on in the towns while these bombings were happening and talked a little bit about what happened leading up to the bombing,

  8. One thing I learned from this presentation was the effects of black rain. It really put into perspective the lasting effects stemming directly from the bombs, since that rain prohibited any crops from being able to grow. I also liked the connections you made between these bombs and world peace, like the nuke free zones and non proliferation.

One thing that might be able to be improved is the overall flow of the presentation. It was presented very factually, which is informative, but slightly hard to follow. I think if you had expanded on the facts with interesting reflections, it might have been easier. Overall it was a good presentation!

  9. 1. The details that were provided were very useful. I never knew that the bombing brought the world together. I never knew how much the bomb weighed. I also did not know that Japan was offered the chance to surrender. I thought that the way that you two worked was great. You both knew what you were talking about.
    2. The only thing I would recommend is next time don't let it finish so suddenly.

  10. Great job on your presentation! I really enjoyed learning a little bit about such an important event in our nation's history and even the history of the world as this was an event we hopefully never have to witness again. One thing your group did an amazing job with was explaining all of the bomb's effects and the aftermath of the explosion. This was very well rehearsed and put together. The single piece of criticism I would add is to be a tad more detailed when discussing the actual bomb and its facts.

  11. 1.) One thing I thought you did very well was discussing about the aftereffects many of the survivors faced. Talking about the cancer, flash burns, and blindness these people faced allowed me to see just how serious this event really was.
2.) Your presentation was definitely well researched, but sometimes I had difficulty keeping up with all of the facts that were being thrown out there. It was especially difficult to follow between slides because they were all so different.

  12. You guys did really well with your presentation. I could tell that you really researched your topic! I learned a lot of new things that I didn't know before.
Something that I noticed is that you stayed in one spot most of the time, don't be afraid to move around and make yourself a little more comfortable.

  13. One of the things that i learned from this presentation was that there were two different sized bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, i also learned that these bombs were actually HUGE in relation to todays missile technology. Its in fact kind of scary how far we have advanced in our destructive ability. I enjoyed how the presentaiton was clear and concise. The information provided was on point and presented interestingly. One of the problems that really detracted from this presentation was the constant stuttering and use of filler words like uhm and uh. It really detracted from the presentation for me and made it hard to focus on what your group was trying to say.

  14. I thought it was very interesting and didn't know that Japan was offered a chance to surrender before the bomb was actually dropped. There were many informational facts like that shared throughout the entire presentation.
The presentation had good information and was well researched, I had a little trouble following along still. My advice would be to just reorder the slides or put things in better order.

  15. I thought your presentation was very informational, and I liked that you included a lot of little known facts like the names of the bombs. I also didn't know anything about the black rain, so I thought that was very interesting. I think that maybe next time you present, you could filter out the filler words like um, uh, and like. Overall your presentation was really good.

  16. For what the topic was, I liked how the positives were shown in such a horrible event. I would not have even thought to make light of Hiroshima, buteally liked that you did this.
I think that more information could have been displayed in the presentation. The moral side and what came out of the bombing was adequetly presented, but more raw facts would have been nice, but that isn't what the presentation was supposed to contain, so overall I thought it was really good.

  17. I liked how in the presentation you also compared the bomb to the Nagasaki bomb and told about how much more devastating the Hiroshima bomb was, I didn't know that. The only thing I could suggest is that you re-read your presentation to make sure you have everything that you want is in there so you don't get cut off next time.

  19. I enjoyed your guys approach to this topic very much. You both seemed very interested in the topic and that made it very enjoyable as a listener. I learned all kinds of new things about the bombings that I would have never known otherwise.
My only gripe is that I felt the order of the information being provided was a bit off. I felt like the flow of the presentation could have been a bit smoother.

  20. I liked how you guys did a side by side comparison of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs, because more people don't really know that they have any differences. You both had good confidence in your knowledge. One recommendation would be to have it flow a little bit better, and watch the timing so you don't have to rush at the end.

  21. 1) I've read the book 'Hiroshima' by John Hersey and it was really interesting and I learned a lot from it. One thing I learned from your presentation was the size difference of the Hiroshima bomb and the Nagasaki bomb. The Hiroshima bomb was smaller but killed more people because Nagasaki had more mountains and people had known that a second bomb was coming.
    2) I would've liked to hear more about what you guys thought about the bombings rather than all facts. But you guys had great facts and a great presentation!
