Exp 5: The Incomparable Advantage of Having to Work for you Get - Zeb Lucas

Part 1:

     If you are financially able to give your children everything they want/need, should you? Should you buy them a car, pay for their cell phone plan, or even pay their tuition? According to Mr. Money Mustache the answer is: "No." He shares from his own personal experience the value of making your children earn their own money, instead of giving them handouts. He was raised by parents who gave him only the necessities, if he wanted anything else, he would have to earn his own money in order to get it, and as a result he is "eternally grateful for every bit of hard work I have had the privilege of doing in my life so far." As a result of this, he is instilling these same values in his son.

     I feel that Mr. Money Mustache's advice is very useful because as a parent you want to give your children everything, but this shows that maybe that isn't the best option. I completely agree with him because I was raised in very much the same way, I was taught the value of money at a very young age, the importance of saving, and how to work hard. My parents provided everything that I NEEDED, but anything beyond that was on me. It is because of this, that I now know the value of money, and appreciate what I have. I pay for school, and as a result I work harder because I don't want to waste my money.

  One website that I use regularly would be Reddit, also known as the frontpage of the internet,it  is a website that allows anyone to post whatever they want into various categories, or subreddits, and the best posts are then upvoted to the front page. Reddit can be very entertaining, or educational depending on how you choose to use it, there quite a few educational subreddits, and it is just the task of finding the subreddit for whatever you are looking for.
