In my article Mr. Money Mustache describes how he would run the school. He described the things that he did not like about traditional schooling. He did not like the kids being placed in lines. He did not like that recess was still being taken away. His son also developed anxiety disorder. He was only in the third grade, Then he describes how the things that he would not do if he ran the school and also he writes about his method of homeschooling. He would not have teachers telling children to shush in the hallways. He would not have them in lines. Then after that his son is free to do whatever he wants. He worked with the school and also borrowed books to get the curriculum that was needed to teach his son. He lets his son listen to music whenever he wants. Someone may think that if someone is home school that they will not have any interaction with kids but this however is very wrong. Home schooled kids get together sometimes and do fun activities together.
The article did a great job at describing the way that things are currently being handled. It is true that in school we do get told to shush a lot. In the article Mr. Money Mustache mentioned how schools seem to be discouraging socialization\as the day goes on and I thought that this was a very true statement. When we are in class we don't get to talk usually until the very end of the class. I never really thought of the benefits of homeschooling. I just had a few ideas in my head of what it would be like. He provides you with details on how he home schools his son which I thought made the article more interesting. He taught his son how to calculate the height of his city water tower by measuring the length of the towers shadow one day. I like how he gives you little things that he does because it opens your eyes to the many different ways a child can be taught while at home. He even provides a schedule of the day in the article. He gives his son a two hour break and during that break they do things like bike or go to park. I like how he gives his son such a long break because I feel like that is a great way to divide time up.
Their were only a few things that I did not like. I wished he would have given you more resources to use and also wished he would have explained more of how he teaches his curriculum.

I think Purdue OWL is a great website that helps you with a lot of things. I don't think I would have survived my junior and senior research papers without Purdue OWL. It provides you with information you need to make sure that you correctly cite a resource that way you do not get into trouble for plagiarizing. The website also helps you learn how to write resumes and provides you with resources to make your writing better. As college progresses I feel like this will be a great resource to help me if I ever need to check on citations or grammar.
You are shown the any different resources that Purdue OWL offers in this image.

I find it interesting that he home-schools his child. I am impressed that he has such a successful blog while home-schooling his child. I agree with him that students shouldn't always be told to be quiet.
